Message Traffic Alternative

Maybe try Discord as a means of moving “incidental traffic” away from the Groups.IO email distribution list?

No tool is perfect. But if you think of Discord as a chronological filing cabinet? You get a sense of some of it’s capability.

The phone app works great.

There are a few Coos area Hams that have made their way aboard already.

A forum for MeshTastic has been started. Also…

Several text Channels, guessing at subjects like Coos ARES/RACES, Cranberry Fest, etc. Tossed them in there as ticklers. New topics are easy to organize.

Nothing about this offer to use Discord is required of members. It’s there simply to give it a spin and find out / see if it it’s useful.

I’m sure there are better tools, but Free is a powerful persuader.

    I understand your intent with the name, but your implementation is incorrect.

    As is, it says: 43 (minutes) 7 (seconds) – 124 (minutes) 24 (seconds)

    Should be 43° 7’N – 124° 24’W

      I think I tried those characters… If I recall it was a couple of years back … the acceptable characters were ‘ and ”

      If Discord is a place to have bins for topics, subjects, events and the plethora of things that could use organizing and tracking? We could rename it. I’ll hand it over to the group any old time someone thinks that’s appropriate.
